Medical Billing - Palm PDA
Preferred Health Resourses Practice Management System is called Remedy. The PDA version is Remedy for the Palm. It is a simple to use data capture program designed to increase the speed and accuracy of your medical billing.
According to studies in the healthcare field from 9 to 20 percent of all charges are lost in the field. This is particularly true of physicians that have out-of-office practices, such as surgeons.
The program was designed with two things in mind, speed and simplicity. Weve designed the program so that even a complex encounter with multiple procedures will only take a minute or two to fill out. A repetitive procedure, such as a follow-up hospital procedure, can take as little as 10 seconds. You have very few screens to deal with to enter an individual encounter. We appreciate what your time is worth.
We get this functionality by customizing the program based on your individual practice. Your procedures (CPT), diagnosis (ICD), and modifiers are automatically loaded into the Palm and adjusted monthly. You never deal with the whole CPT or ICD code base, only those codes that are used by your practice. You can even personalize the descriptions.
The Palm program has two basic modes of operation or viewing; Patient and Schedule mode. Below is the patient view:
If you use our main Appointment Scheduler on your PCs, then the appointments for that day are download over the Internet, when you HotSync® your Palm.
Are you making rounds for your colleagues in your practice? We have an option so all the patients at that location can also be loaded into your Palm when you HotSync®
Whether you use the Appointment Scheduler or not, once youve entered a patient encounter, its displayed on that days events.
